This picture was given a full tabloid page display in the Bangalore Mirror on October 4th, 2007.

This blog showcases images captured across India and the US when I did my Reuters Foundation Fellowship at the Missouri University in 1997. It portrays an India of million moods and mutinies. There are many who helped me to look beyond my lens. I thank Jayant Kodkani, Vinay Kamat, Sumit Chakraberti and Balasubramanium, four of my very close friends, who taught me the basics of journalism. Apart from them I also thank Bill Kuykendall, D Rees, Julie and Loop of the MU. All images are copyrighted.

Actually this is less dangerous than it looks. Even without the aircraft Bangalore roads are far more dangerous than landing aircraft. I have lived in the flight path of HAL airport for 35 years and have seen more deaths on the road near my house than from air accidents.
And may I ask if it was not dangerous to park on the highway for 2 hours as you did?
So please..
I was curious to see this pic and the caption. The pictures is indeed good, but shows you poor understanding of things around you, especially aircraft. Bangalore has been the harbinger of Indian Aviation. Infact, HAL airport which actually flies test aircraft is in heart of the city. However, the flying sector is away from in habitation. Utter non-sense post from 2009!
